NIT Trichy will commence it’s B.Tech admission process for the academic year 2024 tentatively on June 10, 2024, along with registrations for JoSAA counselling. The results of JEE Main 2024 Session 2 have been announced on April 24, 2024. Candidates can now download their scorecards by visiting the official website - jeemain.nta.ac.in. 

National Institute of Technology Trichy is situated in the Tiruchirappalli division of Tamilnadu. It was established as a joint venture of the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Government of India in 1964. NIT Trichy was formerly known as the Regional Engineering College Tiruchirappalli. With the approval of the Government of India, NIT Trichy was granted deemed university status in 2003. M.Tech and B.Tech are among the popular NIT Trichy courses. Scores of JEE Main are considered for NIT Trichy B.Tech admissions. Candidates securing a rank between 1-2000 in the JEE Main exam have the chance of getting a seat at this prestigious institution. The rankings are based on 13 different factors that measure how well universities teach, do research, share knowledge, and have an international focus. To ensure the rankings are accurate, the researchers studied more than 121 million citations from over 15.5 million research papers and got feedback from 40,000 scholars worldwide. They collected massive information, with over 680,000 data points from more than 2,500 participating universities.

NIRF Ranking 2023: The rankings for 2023 have been released on the NIRF official website. NIT Trichy NIRF Ranking 2023 for the Architecture and Planning category is 4. The ranking is released every year by the Ministry of Education, Government of India based on various parameters namely Research and Professional Practice (RP), Graduation Outcomes (GO), Teaching, Learning & Resources (TLR), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI) and Peer Perception. NIT Trichy NIRF Ranking has gone one rank up compared to the last year's rank i.e. 2022. The institute was ranked 5th in the same category. As per the NIRF Ranking 2023, NIT Trichy has bagged the 9th position in the engineering category.
